On Sunday, April 19, 2026, around 11:00–11:30 a.m. at a campsite on Turystyczna Street in Łeba (Pomeranian Voivodeship), a gas heating installation exploded in a vehicle converted into a camper.
According to rescuers, a woman suffered burns over 50% of her body and was taken to a hospital in Gryfice; a man with facial burns was hospitalized in Słupsk. Three fire engines, two ambulance crews, and an LPR (Polish Medical Air Rescue) helicopter responded. The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
