On July 15, a severe thunderstorm with hail and heavy rain hit the Lake Constance region in Baden-Württemberg. In Kressbronn, a tree fell onto a motorhome with its owners inside; they were unharmed but the vehicle sustained property damage. Fire departments in Friedrichshafen and Kressbronn responded to eight calls, mostly for fallen trees. On highway A81, a car hydroplaned, rolled over, and broke through a wildlife fence; the driver was uninjured. In Aitrach, a woman suffered a mild electric shock from lightning while charging her phone. In Reutlingen and Schemmerhofen, a layer of hail up to several centimeters thick covered streets, and about 6,000 households lost power temporarily. The German Weather Service warned of further storms through the morning of July 16.
