A head-on collision between a Suzuki car and a motorhome occurred on Wednesday on the D 939 road near Marsac, Charente department, France. The 25-year-old local woman driving the Suzuki died. An elderly English couple aged 74 and 76 travelling in the motorhome sustained minor injuries and were taken to Cognac hospital. The motorhome overturned and came to rest on its side; the Suzuki ended up in a vineyard. The D 939 was fully closed during the extrication and reopened around 18:30.
