Geoffroy, 37, a former baker, lives in a motorhome in a parking area in the French commune of Les Fourgs, Doubs, to work in Switzerland without paying high rent. The interior gains matte black cabinet doors and a wood-effect table top. A new flat pop-top roof, 85 cm high with a panoramic skylight, is offered on the five Citroën Jumper models at €7,990. Prices for the new range start at €59,990 for the Ford Transit-based Forty Van and go up to €76,990 for the Fiat-based Bel Horizon.

RMC Story will broadcast the seventh episode of season one of its motorhome programme on 4 October at 19:20. In 2023, 100,000 motorhomes and campervans were sold in France. A new motorhome costs around €60,000.

French travelers Pierre and Edward, based in Bordeaux, spent summer 2026 touring Portugal and Spain in a Pilote P720 motorhome. At the 60th Salon du Véhicule de Loisirs in Le Bourget (until 4 October), fully autonomous motorhomes, new technologies and the return of low-profile caravans are on display. Exhibits include a 4x4 Hymer on Mercedes Sprinter base and a six-wheel Kodiak on Renault Trucks base weighing 20 tonnes with a 600 Ah battery and a price of €976,000. The Mercedes Marco Polo receives the MBAX interface with smartphone-controlled levelling. Low-profile caravans (under 2 m high) are regaining popularity due to their light weight and aerodynamics, suitable for towing by EVs; prices range from €20,000 to €30,000, while vans start at €50,000. Spanish company Vancubic offers a cube module with inflatable walls that fits any L2H2 van in one hour, priced from €16,000.
