A motorhome caught fire on Calle Guadalajara in Colmenar Viejo at around 8am on Thursday 5 November, prompting a response from local police and emergency services. Police were first on the scene and, with help from a neighbour who supplied water from a swimming pool, held the fire until a crew from Tres Cantos arrived. A car was removed from the home's garage before the fire could spread. A butane cylinder was present at the scene, but the fire did not spread further. The cause of the fire and the extent of material damage have not been established.
