Malaga resident describes living in a motorhome after divorce

Rafael Sanchis from Malaga has lived in a motorhome for five years since his divorce. He bought the used motorhome for 25,000 euros and has seven years of financing left. He previously rented a converted commercial unit for 1,500 euros a month and later used a smaller camper van that cost 12,000 euros. He says a single salary is not enough to cover conventional housing costs. The city council has opened talks with motorhome residents about allocating a designated area.
