On August 21, between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m., a severe storm hit Grado, affecting two campsites. At Camping Al Bosco, a 16-year-old boy suffered minor injuries to his chest and limbs when a pine tree fell on his bungalow. At Camping Punta Spin, a 41-year-old man was hit on the foot by a branch. Both were treated by emergency services and classified as green code. In the evening, fire crews were still working to secure tall trees that had fallen onto pitches, damaging motorhomes, caravans, tents, and bungalows. The campsite closest to Isola d'Oro was hit hardest due to strong south-westerly gusts, an unusual direction for summer storms.
