On Monday, August 10, after 2:30 PM, a camper trailer caught fire in the Zatorze residential area of Łowicz. Three people were injured, and one of them — a man around 50 — died despite rescue efforts, including resuscitation and the use of an air ambulance helicopter. The trailer was completely destroyed.
According to the prosecutor's office, all three men inside the trailer were intoxicated. The preliminary cause is careless handling of fire; a fire-technical expert examination has been ordered. An autopsy of the deceased is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12. Police, under prosecutor supervision, are investigating the circumstances.
