On the A7 motorway near Egestorf (Harburg district) early Saturday morning, a caravan detached from a 36-year-old driver's car, crossed the carriageway and hit the central barrier. The ensuing collisions involved six cars and left three people lightly injured. Police are investigating why the caravan came loose, and proceedings have been initiated against the driver.
