Italy's national camper coordination association (Ancc) sent an urgent request on 28 October to the prefecture of Forlì, the fire brigade, the carabinieri, the Romagna health authority and Cesenatico town hall. It flagged possible fire risks from motorhomes concentrated in car parks during the 'Pesce fa festa' event. According to Ancc, the problem stems from two municipal decisions: a ban on motorhome parking from 07:00 on 24 October to 24:00 on 2 November in a central area, and the mayor's social media invitation to Italian motorhome owners to attend. As a result, vehicles are concentrated in a few specific car parks: Rocca, Viale dei Mille 152, the stadium area, the skate park, a private area at Viale Camillo Benso Cavour 1/B and the equipped area of Zadina at Viale Giuseppe Mazzini 184.
