Incident
In Bad Saulgau (Sigmaringen district, Baden-Württemberg), an 89-year-old man driving a Peugeot motorhome scraped the wall of a hairdresser's shop while turning. During a second manoeuvre, the rear bicycle rack hit the wall again. According to one source, the incident occurred on Friday at around 12:20 on Bachstrasse at the junction with Eckstrasse.
Medical assistance
After stopping the vehicle, the man walked into the salon, where he required medical help. An ambulance was called first, then an emergency doctor arrived due to his worsening condition. His condition later stabilised, and relatives took the pensioner and the motorhome away.
Investigation
Police are investigating whether the driver was fit to drive at the time of the incident and whether the wall was damaged. No damage was found to the motorhome or the bicycle rack.
