A motorhome carrying a family with a 10-year-old child overturned on the Athens to Lamia motorway near Atalanti on the morning of Saturday 24 October. The vehicle went over at the 155th kilometre in the direction of Lamia. According to initial reports, the driver lost control of the motorhome. The circumstances are under investigation.
Everyone on board is reported to be in good health.
Traffic disruption
The overturned motorhome came to rest on the carriageway and blocked traffic. According to one report, the normal lanes were closed and vehicles were passing along the hard shoulder. According to another, both directions were closed at the scene, and some drivers took the parallel road to continue their journey. It has not yet been confirmed when traffic will return to normal.
