On May 16, about 160 caravans (trailers) settled on a private plot in Longvic (Côte-d'Or). The municipality filed a complaint on May 18. During an attempt to illegally connect to the power grid, a transformer caught fire, cutting electricity to the entire neighborhood. Authorities arranged waste disposal but do not plan eviction due to the operation's complexity.
