Renault announced on 22 October 2026 an update to the diesel versions of its Trafic van. The line-up includes the seven-seat Trafic Escapade with overnight accommodation, first shown in France in November 2025 and opened for orders in March 2026. The model is offered with two 2.0-litre diesel engines producing 150 hp and 170 hp, and in two body lengths: L1 at 5080 mm and L2 at 5480 mm. The rear seats convert into a bed measuring 1800 mm by 1400 mm in the L1 and 1900 mm by 1400 mm in the L2, while the load area houses a kitchen unit with a gas hob, folding sink and a 5-litre fresh water tank. Prices in France start at €46,000 for the L1 Evolution and €47,500 for the L2. No official launch in Japan has been announced.
