In the early hours of July 6, police pursued a vehicle towing a stolen caravan on the A52 towards Roermond. The chase ended at the Mönchengladbach interchange, where three suspects were arrested; a fourth fled into the city. The driver was under the influence of alcohol and had no driving license. Three patrol cars were damaged during the pursuit, and a helicopter was deployed.
