On August 2, a motorhome caught fire on the A410 motorway in Haute-Savoie, in the direction of Annecy-Chamonix, between Scientrier and Saint-Martin-Bellevue (according to one source, near Évires). The flames spread to dry grass on the roadside, covering 300 square meters.
Traffic was fully halted, and a detour via the A41 was set up. Firefighters received the call around 5:20 p.m.; 17 firefighters, a tanker truck, and a fire van responded. The driver managed to remove a gas cylinder, preventing more serious consequences. No injuries were reported. The fire was extinguished in the evening, and traffic resumed after 6:15 p.m.
