Police in Genoa arrested two Egyptian nationals aged 18 and 19 on suspicion of aggravated attempted theft. Officers responded to a call to the emergency number 112 at around 23:40 on Via Struppa after a witness reported two people tampering with a camper van whose alarm had sounded. According to police, the pair forced a side window and entered the vehicle, then were found inside a second parked camper van nearby. One suspect tried to flee through a window but was stopped. Both vehicles were found with interiors ransacked and a side window torn out; owners were asked to assess damage and file a report.
