Motorhome catches fire in Innsbruck due to misuse of gas stove

Carpenter Hannes Derler from Stubenberg spent three years converting a 2022 Mercedes Sprinter into a camper van. The 7-meter-long, 2.11-meter-wide, and 2.6-meter-high vehicle features a fold-down bed, kitchen with induction hob, and bathroom with shower and toilet. Heating and cooking run on diesel, not gas. The van is listed for €115,000 but remains unsold, which Derler attributes to the resumption of air travel. The company 'Steirervan' in Hartberg reports sustained demand for custom solutions, particularly for off-grid systems and anti-theft protection.
