On Friday, 22 May 2026, at around 3:15 PM, a motorhome caught fire on Zirler Berg near the Linzerkurve. According to the Tyrolean dispatch centre, two people were inside the vehicle at the time of the fire; they were not injured.

Fire brigades from Zirl and Reith bei Seefeld responded promptly. The motorhome was completely destroyed. Firefighters removed two gas cylinders from the vehicle and cooled them down.

The Seefelderstraße was temporarily closed in the uphill direction but was reopened shortly afterwards.
