A fire broke out in a camper van parked near the Jeokbyeokgang cliffs in Buri-myeon, Geumsan county, South Chungcheong province, at about 18:50 on 6 November.
According to the Geumsan fire service, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 70s suffered second-degree burns. Both were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The camper van was completely destroyed, and the fire service estimates the damage at ₩37 million.
Investigators believe the fire started through carelessness while food was being cooked in the camper van. They are still establishing the exact cause.
