Authorities in Daegu's northern district announced the reopening of Geumhogang Campground after renovation work. The facility had been closed since 2022 due to deterioration and safety concerns.
During the project, which ran from April to July, new toilets, showers and washing areas were installed on both sides of the site, the access road for vehicles was widened, and old signs were replaced with new ones with better readability. Previously, visitors had to walk about 200 meters to reach the facilities; now the routes have been redesigned. Parking was expanded and the safety system improved. The campground has 200 sites and is equipped with modern facilities for campers.
District mayor Lee Geun-su said the project was aimed at improving convenience and safety for visitors.
According to the source, the campground has 16 sites and operates by online reservation, with priority for district residents from the 1st to the 10th of each month.
