In Eurasburg, three men fraudulently acquired a motorhome for 500 euros, while the owner had expected several thousand. On Thursday evening they visited the pensioner; one distracted him in conversation while accomplices manipulated the vehicle so that it began to smoke and then would not start. Convinced it was no longer roadworthy, the owner sold it for 500 euros and handed over the vehicle documents. It later emerged that the buyer's name on the contract was illegible and that the approximately 30-year-old Fiat started again. Police said the seller had requested ID from at least one of the three men, who disappeared with the underpriced vehicle.
