On Friday evening at around 8:45 p.m., a fire broke out in a motorhome at the campsite on the reservoir in Schömberg. According to police, the voltage converter of the refrigerator began to smolder, igniting material underneath. The 36-year-old owner, who was in the vehicle with his wife, alerted the fire department and extinguished the fire himself. When emergency services arrived, there was no open fire, but a strong smell of smoke remained. The couple was taken to a hospital as a precaution due to smoke inhalation. Damage is estimated at around 200 euros.
