A camper van converted from a 1-tonne truck caught fire in Buri-myeon, Geumsan County, South Chungcheong Province, near the Jeokbyeokgang river. The fire broke out on 6 November at about 18:50. An 80-year-old man and his 70-year-old wife sustained second-degree burns to their hands and legs while trying to extinguish the flames and were taken to hospital. The vehicle was destroyed and the fire was put out in about 30 minutes. Police and fire authorities are investigating a statement that the fire started while water was being boiled on a burner inside the camper van.
