A coastal car park trialled as a motorhome stopover site is causing a stink among walkers. People passing Porth Tyn Tywyn, near Rhosneigr, Anglesey, have complained about a foul smell and unsanitary conditions, with reports of toilet paper and faeces on footpaths and in dunes. The site is intended only for self-contained vehicles with their own facilities and has a waste disposal point.
The county council has confirmed that the trial period is currently under review. The pilot project uses three car parks as paid overnight stopovers.
