Around 380 caravans belonging to travellers left a field in Guewenheim (Haut-Rhin) on June 25 after an administrative court upheld a prefecture eviction order. The court ruled the installation was illegal due to its proximity to a protected drinking water catchment area. The evacuation proceeded without incident, with travellers leaving before gendarmes arrived. The prefecture stressed the need to implement the departmental traveller reception plan for 2024–2029, which is not yet fully operational in northern Haut-Rhin.
