Eugene Breindel has lived in a folding Aliner Expedition caravan since 2018 and travels across the United States. He has visited 48 states and 284 national parks in that time. When unfolded, the caravan is about 4.6 metres long. It has an induction hob, a portable toilet, diesel-powered heating and cooling systems, and four flexible solar panels with a generation capacity of up to 400 watts. In winter he usually stays in Quartzsite, Arizona, where he does volunteer work. Back and knee pain is making daily tasks harder, and he is considering moving to a vehicle that does not need setting up at every stop.
