Australian company Headspace Campers has unveiled an expedition motorhome based on the long-wheelbase Toyota Hiace H300. The van received all-wheel drive with a transfer case from the Land Cruiser 200, three pneumatically controlled differential locks, uprated suspension with adjustable remote-reservoir dampers and 35-inch Toyo Open Country Mud Terrain tyres on 16-inch wheels. Ground clearance is 300 mm, greater than any factory Land Cruiser. The interior features a pop-up shower with water heater, a lower lounge convertible into a bed, and a pull-out kitchen with a two-zone induction hob, sink and fridge. Power comes from a 48-volt system and a 200 Ah lithium-ion battery, while water capacity is 150 litres and fuel capacity is 270 litres. The 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel (1GD) remains standard, producing 177 hp and 450 Nm.
