Be Cool has launched the BC5CSKL26 split air conditioner for motorhomes and campervans. The unit is available at the CHIP Store for €449 (RRP €599). It consists of indoor and outdoor units connected by a pre-assembled 1-meter hose and is installed through a window. Cooling capacity is 1,472 W with power consumption of 546 W; it offers cooling, fan, and dehumidifier modes, controlled via display or app. Limitations: mounting fits walls up to 55 mm thick, no window seal included, power cable is 1.8 m long.

Bürstner has expanded its Signature line with a semi-integrated motorhome based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. The SMT model will debut at the Caravan Salon 2026, with a starting price of around €94,000. It features a 150 hp Mercedes Sprinter engine, nine-speed automatic transmission, MBUX system, and AL-KO low-frame chassis with a double floor. Two floor plans are available: twin single beds (SMT 7.0) and a queen-size bed (SMT 7.4), with an optional electric drop-down bed.

Dethleffs is offering two XL cab-over models from the 2027 model year, featuring twin beds in the cab-over bunk and a rear lounge. The XL A 7822-2 (8.55 m, 5,000 kg, from €131,999) and XL A 6822-2 (7.30 m, 4,500 kg, from €121,999) are designed for couples. Both models include a winter package with a heated double floor and engine preheating. They expand the XL family beyond the family-oriented layout and are priced below the Alpa series.

At the 'Campingpark & Wohnmobilhafen Am Großen Lausiger Teich' in Bad Schmiedeberg, two ten-year anniversaries related to iconic East German caravans were celebrated over the weekend. The Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main ruled that motorhomes with a permissible total weight over 7.5 t are not legally passenger cars. On highways, they are subject to a general speed limit of 80 km/h, even without specific signage. The decision was issued on September 3, 2025 (case 1 ORbs 42/25) after a driver contested a €280 fine for driving 100 km/h. The court noted that the European M1 classification does not change the legal status of such vehicles.

Hobby has announced its 2027 motorhome lineup, with a complete redesign of the Prestige T series. Two new models with a rear bathroom join the range. All 2027 models feature a high-resolution rear-view camera with three viewing angles and new seats. Automatic transmission (160 hp) is standard on models over 3,500 kg GVWR.
