Italian Tourism Minister Gianmarco Mazzi attended the Salone del Camper in Parma on 14 September and held a press briefing on the outdoor tourism sector. At the same time, Italy lacked an institutional Enit stand at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai. According to Mazzi, the Salone del Camper is the second-largest industry trade fair in Europe after Germany, with 107,000 visitors, 310 exhibitors and 600 recreational vehicles across 110,000 square metres. The Ministry of Tourism has invested 32 million euros in over 150 projects in 169 Italian municipalities to create 4,375 parking pitches (28.5% in the north, 28.5% in the centre, 43% in the south and islands).
