Italian Tourism Minister Gianmarco Mazzi, at a press conference during the Salone del Camper in Parma, announced €32 million in funding to create parking areas for motorhomes and caravans. Over 150 projects have been implemented in 169 Italian municipalities, creating 4,375 parking spaces. Distribution: 28.5% in the north, 28.5% in the center, 43% in the south and islands. Mazzi stated that this form of tourism helps decentralize tourist flows, reduce seasonality, and advance digitalization, and dismissed the stereotype that motorhome travelers are low-spending.
