In Werth (Isselburg district), a debate has arisen over creating a motorhome parking area. The planning, transport, and development committee discussed the issue at a recent meeting. The main controversy concerns the location: one option proposes construction near the town hall, the other on Münsterdeich.
According to sources, the cost for an 8-space option is estimated at 50–60 thousand euros, while a 14-space option would cost 70 thousand euros. It is noted that the costs for both options are roughly equal.
Residents will be asked to give their opinion on the two possible sites. Critics point to the loss of parking spaces needed for events and call for an information meeting for residents.
