The municipality of Vila Real de Santo António has temporarily closed the Muralha motorhome service area (Área de Serviço de Autocaravanas da Muralha) in the Algarve. The decision was made on the recommendation of the civil protection service due to a high risk of flooding in the area adjacent to the Guadiana River, following adverse weather conditions.
As an alternative, motorhome users are advised to relocate to the municipal campsite in Monte Gordo.
