The Torredembarra city council will cede the site currently occupied by the main motorhome park to the Catalan government to build up to 34 public housing units. The council plans to dedicate the part closest to the railway line to new parking spaces and to find a new suitable site for a regulated motorhome park with proper services, as the current one lacks basic amenities. The project is part of the Catalan government's plan to build 50,000 affordable rental homes by 2030.
