A campsite in Buxheim, Bavaria, will close by autumn 2027 to make way for up to 190 apartments. Permanent campers were given notice in September, effective at the end of the year, with the option to stay until September 2027 and vacate in October. Construction is expected to start no earlier than summer 2028. Campers criticised the lack of information, saying they learned of the closure from the newspaper rather than from notices on site.
