Dutch company Vantrack has introduced the LightCamp kit for the electric Kia PV5 van, converting it into a camper with four sleeping spots. Two spots are inside on an inflatable mattress measuring 1300×1900 mm (51×75 inches), and two more are in a roof tent with a two-meter sleeping area (79×51 inches). Access to the upper berth is via a hatch.
The kit includes a slide-out kitchen with an induction hob, sink, and 11-liter water tank. All components except the fixed hatch can be removed in minutes, returning the vehicle to daily use. The car is 4695 mm long with a 2995 mm wheelbase. The passenger version has a range of up to 412 km (WLTP) and fast charging from 10 to 80% in about 30 minutes.
The full conversion costs from €65,000 based on the PV5 Passenger Essential trim. The production version is scheduled for September 2026 at the Camper Trade Fair in Utrecht (according to one source, September 2025).
