German manufacturer Ebicos has introduced the Happy Dreamer Electric, an electric sleeping module that automatically extends from the rear of a small van to create a bed. The module fits over 25 vehicle models, with bed dimensions of 190–210 cm long and 100–160 cm wide, and an 8 cm thick foam mattress. Unlike the manual version weighing about 60 kg, the electric version is fixed in the vehicle and takes up interior space. Pricing starts at €9,990, the Happy Cook cooking module costs €1,250, and delivery is expected in 3–4 months.
