Ovrlnd Campers, based in Flagstaff, Arizona, has introduced a pop-up camper built on a 1980s Mini 95 pickup truck. The camper uses the Chubby style to maximize interior space over the truck bed. It weighs approximately 280 lbs and offers a double bed width of 55 inches and over 6 feet of headroom when raised. The Mini 95 has a payload capacity of about 550 lbs, limiting use with two passengers.

Cinch Outdoors unveils Wingman, a two-storey rooftop tent for pickups with electric deployment. Lower level uses the bed for storage and cooking, upper is a double bed. US price: from $6,999 or $7,999.

Pop-up campers, introduced in 1954 with the Hille Ranger, gained popularity through Starcraft in 1963. They are cheaper than traditional travel trailers and RVs, but offer less comfort and insulation. Used models start at under $500, while new ones cost from $2,299 excluding shipping and floor.
