Conversion
Headspace Campers of Australia has turned a standard Toyota HiAce into a 4x4 camper. The rear-wheel drive is replaced by all-wheel drive with a low-range transfer case and differential locks. Ground clearance is increased to 300 mm, and 35-inch Toyo Terrain tyres, reinforced bumpers, a snorkel, a winch and two spare wheels are fitted. Power comes from a 2.8-litre turbo diesel producing 177 hp, paired with a 6-speed Aisin automatic.
Interior
Inside there is a 1.45 by 2.70 metre bed under a pop-up roof giving 2.3 metres of headroom, a slide-out kitchen with induction hob, sink and fridge, plus a hot-water shower. Fuel capacity is 270 litres and fresh water capacity is 150 litres.

Conversion starts at 18,950 Australian dollars, with the Premium version from 27,590 Australian dollars. The buyer supplies the vehicle; the all-wheel drive is not a factory option but a deep aftermarket modification.
