At the Japan Camping Car Show 2026 in Makuhari, AZ-MAX presented the compact camper K-ai Type D based on the Daihatsu Hijet kei truck (also referred to as Hijet Truck or Hijet Cargo in some sources).
The 3.4-meter-long model complies with Japanese kei car dimensions but offers a pop-up roof that provides an interior height of 1.7 meters. The cabin can seat and sleep up to four people, including two adults and two children.
The base price for the version with automatic transmission and options is around 3.87 million yen.
