The city of Zlín is introducing new parking restrictions for large vehicles. The measures aim to combat unauthorized parking, which residents had complained about, and free up spaces for daily commuters.

Restrictions at Jižní Svahy

From May 1, parking of caravans and camper trailers is completely banned in the largest housing estate, Jižní Svahy. Vans longer than 5 meters are allocated special spaces at the Okružní car park and under the first segment. An exception is the Torzo car park: from May 4, caravans and special machinery are banned there, but long vans may still park.

Restrictions at P+R Příluky

From May 4, the P+R park-and-ride facility in Příluky bans motorhomes, caravans and cargo trailers. The reason is the long-term (weeks or months) storage of such vehicles, which reduces spaces for workers and patients of the nearby hospital undergoing modernization. The municipal police will enforce the new rules.
