Starting August 28, amendments to the Parking Lot Act in South Korea impose stricter penalties for so-called 'albagi' parking—long-term or obstructive parking. The new rules apply to motorhomes and caravans parked in apartment complexes, shopping centers, and public lots. Blocking a parking lot entrance can result in a fine of up to 5 million won (about $3,400) and possible towing. Occupying a space without valid reason for over a month carries a fine of up to 1 million won.
