Residents of Salinas are demanding that the Castrillón council ban caravan parking in urban areas, calling the situation unsustainable. The nighttime parking restriction from 00:00 to 08:00, introduced at the start of summer, has not solved the problem: caravans have moved from the grass to the asphalt, occupying parking spaces and obstructing traffic. The residents' association points to deteriorating sanitary conditions and calls for applying the model of Llanes or Laredo. The council cites regional bureaucracy: a plan to rent private plots for 50,000 euros is stalled due to a missing CUOTA report, and the San Juan de Nieva parking project has been deemed unviable.
