On September 6, in the municipality of Sesimbra, GNR officers carried out an operation against illegal camping and caravanning. During the inspection, 16 citations were issued for parking motorhomes in protected areas of the Natura 2000 network.
The operation was conducted by the Environmental Protection Unit (NPA) of the Setúbal territorial detachment and the Sesimbra territorial post. The aim was to prevent and detect violations of natural area usage rules and promote responsible tourism.
