Ayvalık municipality has banned parking of motorhomes and caravans on streets and coast outside designated lots. Violators face fines.
Ayvalık (Balıkesir) has introduced restrictions on caravan parking. According to the UKOME decision, from 2025 parking is allowed only in designated areas. The ban covers streets, roads and coastal zones.
The move follows complaints about long-term and chaotic caravan placement, especially in summer, as well as littering and occupation of public spaces. The municipality said vehicles left garbage and obstructed residents. Violators face fines, and enforcement will be stepped up.
