In Pisogne, Italy, a local committee and environmentalists are using the return of cows from alpine pastures as a symbol of protest against a planned camper area in Nistoi. The project, published on 12 March 2025, envisions a motorhome parking area and services on a green site of about 16,000 square metres. Over 800 signatures have been collected against the project, a protest relay was held on 18 September, and the committee has announced plans to launch a consultative referendum.
