Councillors in the Scottish Borders have refused plans for a £5m luxury holiday park with 40 lodges on land at Earlshaugh Farm in Jedburgh. The application received 13 objections citing harm to ecological habitats, including trees and Sites of Special Scientific Interest, as well as inadequate access, noise pollution, and road safety. The planning committee endorsed a recommendation for refusal, agreeing that the development would have unacceptable landscape and visual impacts.
