Spokane Firefighters Extinguish Scrap Metal and RV Parts Fire on North Perry Street
A pile of scrap metal, primarily consisting of old recreational vehicles and RV parts being dismantled for recycling, ignited on North Perry Street in Spokane on Monday morning. The Spokane Fire Department brought the blaze under control by 10:45 a.m., suspecting a lithium-ion battery may have been the cause. One nearby structure was briefly threatened, but no businesses or homes were affected.
