Illegal caravan parkers told to leave Edinburgh playing fields or face legal action

Fenland neighbourhood officers recovered a stolen motorhome and a road roller this week. The motorhome, stolen from Lincolnshire, was found in Wisbech St Mary the same day. The road roller, stolen from Whittlesey, was recovered in Thorney. Officers also attended a two-vehicle crash on the A47 near Thorney.

Shelley and Martin White, owners of Tower Park Chalet Park in Seaton, East Devon, say their business could become unviable due to government leasehold reforms aimed at protecting permanent residents. The reforms introduce a ground rent cap of £250, which the Whites claim would cut their income by 50%. The park operates only 7.5 months a year, and each chalet can be used for a maximum of 28 consecutive days.
