German publication Promobil compared three mini caravans with four berths: Ankaravan Eco 350, Next 381 and Niewiadow N-Lazur 4 Family. The Ankaravan Eco 350 is 3.50 m long, has a maximum permissible weight of 1,000 kg, an unladen weight of 880 kg and costs 16,000 euros. The Next 381 measures 5.88 m overall with 1.98 m headroom, has a permissible weight of 1,000 kg, an unladen weight of 805 kg and costs 19,990 euros. The Niewiadow N-Lazur 4 Family is 5.60 m long, offered with a permissible weight of 900 or 1,000 kg, an unladen weight of 795 kg and a price of 18,245 euros. Payloads are 120 kg, 195 kg and 205 kg respectively. Towing caravans over 750 kg requires an appropriate licence: category B allows combinations up to 3.5 tonnes, and if the car exceeds 2.5 tonnes, a B96 extension is needed.
